Seven Years!

Happy Anniversary to us! I can't believe it has already been 7 years. It has been a great adventure so far, and I can't wait to see what the next 7 years will bring. I love you!

1 year old!

I know it was almost 4 weeks ago, but I'm happy to finally be posting about Lucy's First Birthday! (I've been waiting until I could get the video uploaded, and I finally got around to it today. Yay!) I wanted to make a cake, but we didn't need to eat a whole cake ourselves, so we invited some friends to come over and have cake and ice cream with us while we sang Happy Birthday to the birthday girl.



























































Lucy picked at the frosting and cake a little bit, but she didn't really eat any of it. I can't believe she's already a year old! Crazy! She was taking a few steps while we were in Washington for Christmas, and when we came home, she continued to take more and more steps, until a few days before her birthday when she was toddling about like a pro. At her 12-month check-up, the doctor found some more teeth that were coming in. She loves to play with her toys, putting them in buckets and dumping them out again. She especially loves to play with whatever Josh is playing with, much to his great dismay. Heaven forbid she touch any of his trains! We switched her to whole milk, and she LOVES it! So do we. NO MORE BUYING FORMULA!! She also loves to eat (when she's not sick like she has been the past few weeks) and will usually eat anything that we are eating.

We love her so much and are so glad that she is a part of our family! Happy Birthday to our little Lucy!

Sunbeams

We were still on vacation on the first Sunday of the year, so Josh missed the first day of being a Sunbeam in our ward. But this past Sunday, we were home and I got a couple pictures of our little guy looking so grown up.



He didn't have any freak-outs going to a new class or anything. There are about 9 or 10 new Sunbeams in his class, so Josh has lots of friends from Nursery in class with him. We just have to work on sitting in his chair for more than 5 minutes at at time... I can't believe how big he's getting, and we are so proud of him!

Sledding!

We went sledding with my family the Monday after Christmas. We went to a place called Happy Trails in Easton, a little ways past Snoqualmie Pass. They have warming tents at the top of the hill where you can go to get warm (duh) and they have a stove in the tent where you can keep a pot of chili warm for lunch and a fire pit outside the tent for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We had tons of fun. I wasn't sure how Josh was going to like it, but he LOVED it. At first he would wait at the top of the hill for someone he knew to be ready to go down and hop on with them. Eventually he was brave enough to go down by himself. He didn't even complain about having to climb back up the hill. I took Lucy down a few times. She didn't cry, but I don't know if she really liked it, either. I think she just didn't like being cold. It was a fun day, and I'm glad we were able to go and spend time with my family.
