A Beautiful Saturday Afternoon

We bought this sprinkler when we first moved here last summer, not realizing it was the middle of Phase 2 water restrictions and we couldn't use it. This past week we have had some really nice weather, so we broke out the sprinkler yesterday and Josh had fun running through it.

And here's a video for the grandparents of Josh running through the sprinkler.

My Grandpa

My Grandpa Pratt passed away a year ago today. I'm glad we were still living in Washington and were able to be there with all our family that came into town. Even though it was a somber occasion, I love getting together with family and hearing all the stories from my dad and uncles and aunt about their childhood and the lessons they learned from their parents. My grandpa was a great example to me of love, kindness, church service, and missionary service. I had no doubt of his love for his wife, his family, his Savior, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Me and my grandpa.

And this is me and my grandma. I liked this one because I think Lucy looks like me in this picture.

3 months old!

Our little Lucy Mae turned 3 months old yesterday (!) and I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She has really discovered her voice this past month and loves to coo and make as many different noises as she can. It's cute to listen to her talk and tell stories. She is getting stronger and stronger and cuter and cuter and just continues to be the best little girl ever!

I love this picture of Lucy with her big brother.

She is so much fun and we love her!

Happy Easter!

We have had a fun-filled weekend. Adam had the day off on Friday (his work gets Good Friday off instead of President's Day), so he got to come with us to our playgroup's Easter Egg Hunt.

This was Josh's first Easter Egg Hunt, and he loved it. He had a good time carrying his basket around with Daddy and then he would get excited whenever he found an egg. And then afterwards he discovered there was candy in the eggs! BONUS!!

That night we had a game night with a bunch of our friends, which was tons of fun and lots of laughs.

Saturday was my birthday! Yippee!!

We have enjoyed watching General Conference this weekend, too. This morning before conference started, Adam wanted to color some Easter Eggs.

Josh also had fun putting together his new Curious George puzzle he got in his Easter Basket from Grandma.

All the loot from the Easter Bunny!

And all the pretty eggs all colored.

It has been a great weekend, but I am most grateful for my Savior and his Atonement and Resurrection that allows us the chance to overcome death and sin and be able to return to Him and my Heavenly Father again. Happy Easter everyone!

Because she is just so dang cute!

When we were visiting in Washington a couple weeks ago, we spent the day with some of our good friends. A bunch of us got together at Michelle and Dean's house, and it was lots of fun. Anika has a nice new camera, and I wanted her to take a few shots of our family. She took the photo currently in our blog header, and these pictures below of Lucy.

Thank you so much, Anika! The pictures are great, and just what I wanted.
